Who am I?

My name is Matthis Carnicer, and I am a first-year BUT MMI student at the IUT of Montbéliard. Passionate about web design and communication, I created this project to raise awareness about a historical injustice.

The Project

"Light on Them" is a website dedicated to women scientists forgotten by history. Through detailed articles, it highlights the phenomenon of the Matilda effect: a minimization or erasure of women scientists' contributions, often attributed to their male colleagues.

My Objectives

• Raise awareness among the public about a historical injustice.
• Pay tribute to these forgotten women of science.
• Offer an educational and accessible resource.
• Encourage critical reflection on the place of women in history.
